Research Interests

Our laboratory is focused on genome-scale technologies to next generation therapies for Alzheimer's disease and Parkinson's disease human clinical trials. Our group improves protein expression and secretion in cells to facilitate improved manufacturing in the biotechnology industry as well as for the identification of new antiviral drugs. Our group advances proteomics technologies by developing microfluidic platforms for protein analysis and chemistries for quantifying protein expression. These themes are represented as four research thrusts within our group:

1) Technology Development
2) Bioinformatics and Computational Biology
3) Metabolic Engineering of Cells
4) Biomedical Engineering efforts related to neurodegenerative diseases.
